Sae Kimura studied drawing in her native Japan.
She began adding to her repertoire with a two year program for loom weaving in Stockholm, Sweden.
After moving to Toronto in 2011 she has focused on illustration.
In 2016 Sae began also working as assistant to deborah harris,
curator at the downtown public art museum Gallery Arcturus.
As illustrator Sae uses acrylic gouache, pencil crayons or watercolour.
Many drawings are dreamy and fantastic but her style may change depending on the project.
She also does outdoor and indoor murals, puppet-making as well as silkscreen design for clothing
with fellow Toronto creator Yayoi Kaneko.
